Messi must be frustrated much longer than expected

Barcelona - Injury to the calf forced Lionel Messi to stop for a month. Messi does not expect injuries to be worse than previously thought.

Messi was injured in preparatory training in early August. Initially, the Barcelona striker thought he would be out for about two weeks.

However, this estimate was missed. Messi missed Barcelona's first three matches in the Spanish league and will not return this weekend.

Time passed during the recovery frustrating Messi. However, the 32-year-old will not be forced to play fast.

"This is very serious because it happened during my first training session, it was a small injury, at first I thought it would only be 15 days, but when I returned to training before Betis (second week), I felt more uncomfortable."

"That means I have to stop a little longer and there is still time, they say that a calf injury is complicated and that if you think everything is fine, it can be misleading."

"That has never happened to me before and now I know what it is. Now I am relaxed and I only play when I feel ready. I don't want to setback because I can go for a long time." he said.
