Man United is not worried about his departure

Manchester - David de Gea did not sign his new contract at Manchester United. Former goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar said other players could replace De Gea.

De Gea and MU have long been negotiating a new contract. At present, the Red Devils have offered the Spanish goalkeeper a tempting offer in the long run.

According to reports in the British media, the new contract states that De Gea will receive 350,000 pawn salaries (6.03 billion rupees) per week. This fee will make De Gea the highest paid goalkeeper in the Premier League.

But so far, De Gea has not yet signed his new contract offer. Thus, Manchester United could be forced to sell De Gea on the stock market in January 2010, if the player decides not to add his contract to Old Trafford.

Van der Sar was MU goalkeeper in 2005-2011. According to Van der Sar, De Gea is a great goalkeeper, but he can be replaced if he decides to leave.

"The decision has to be taken at some point, it's been a long time, so the answer must be yes or no, but I'm not United's director," Van der Sar said.

"Other goalkeepers can also fill their positions, there are a number of Premier League goalkeepers who play at the club, who can also accept challenges. I was 34 when I joined United. So there are many opportunities."

MU still has enough goalkeepers: Sergio Romero, Lee Grant and Joel Pereira, who are now on loan at Hearts.
