Leicester boss beckons at Marcus Rashford's joke

Brendan Rodgers looked unhappy when his team, Leicester City, defeated his defeat against Manchester United in the pursuit of the Premier League match on Saturday (09/14/2019). Especially the Red Devils attacker, Marcus Rashford.

He alluded to how the 21-year-old was looking for the referee's whistle in the Foxes penalty area. Because of the penalty that was born in the sixth minute, his team had to lose with a minimum score of 0-1.

Rashford fell to the penalty spot when he hit Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu. The incident resulted in the referee did not hesitate to give the Red Devils a penalty chance.

Previously, Manchester United had not completed penalties twice. One of them was executed by Rashford. But the England national team Penggawa did not repeat his mistake after successfully deceiving Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

Rodgers offended Rashford

Rodgers highlighted Rashford's actions when he met with the media team after the match. The former Liverpool coach said the player was waiting for an opportunity to contact Soyuncu.

"Marcus is funny, he's smart and looks for touch," Rodgers told reporters, as Goal International said. "There was a small contact and he got a penalty," he continued.

"That happens, that kind of thing sometimes happens when you reach the big arena, that's a very soft penalty - it's hard, but I think so," he said.

Learn from mistakes

So far, Soyuncu has been impressive with Leicester City. He even managed to eliminate the footsteps of Harry Maguire who decided to move to Manchester United in the transfer market last summer.

His relationship with Johny Evans at the heart of the defense allowed Leicester to concede just four goals in his first five league matches. Rodgers hopes the 23-year-old defender will learn from his mistakes.

"I think for Caglar, who is young, he will learn to be a little patient when dealing with players who are very agile," added Rodgers.

"We have a young player who made a mistake, he managed to fill the departure of Harry with a fantastic and I think he played very dominant today," he said.
