Dovizioso Not Satisfied with the Misano Test Session
Andrea Dovizioso immediately dropped off in the Misano test session after a major accident at the British MotoGP. However, he was not satisfied with the results.
Dovizioso was declared to be able to take part in the MotoGP test session at the Misano Circuit during Thursday (8/29/2019) and Friday (8/30). He felt physically fit, even though in the previous race he had an accident.
The Ducati rider achieved his best result in 14th position during the second session on Friday. Despite failing to be ranked at the top, he acknowledged that this test session was important for evaluating different track tracks during the race later.
"This is a very important trial, because we found that the track tracks were very different compared to last year with less traction," Dovizioso was quoted as saying from Autosport.
The difference in grip on the track compared to last year, making Dovizioso difficult to drive his motorcycle. As a result, he was not satisfied with his performance in the test session.
"His grip has decreased compared to last year and it's quite difficult to feel comfortable on a motorcycle, because when you drive slowly on a small track without enough traction, it will be very difficult."
"I really fought with my own motorbike, so I can't drive it properly. I'm not satisfied," complained the 33-year-old racer.
Dovizioso claimed to have tried various changes to the motorbike, but the results still felt lacking. So he hopes his condition will be better during the race this weekend.
"We tried a number of settings, we made a number of changes, we understood something, but that was not enough to match the level of other riders who were faster," said Dovizioso
